Joe worked in the cosmetic and food ingredients industry for 10 years before joining Scott Laboratories, Ltd in 1989. He earned a BS degree in chemistry from the University of Waterloo. The brewing industry is his area of expertise, though he has accrued considerable experience in the wine industry during his tenure at Scott Labs.

Matthias was born and raised in Germany. He is educated and trained in trade of viticulture and winemaking and has worked in all areas and aspects of production for over 26 years. Before joining Scott Labs in 2008, Matthias was the head winemaker at a well established winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. His knowledge and experience does well assisting in winemaking and technical support issues.

Alan joined Scott Laboratories Ltd. in 2006 previously working in the wine industry for 19 years after completing a B.S. and M.S. in Agriculture and a Ph.D. in Food Science. His background includes winemaking, marketing and management support for numerous clients in the Okanagan Valley with interests in using new research to improve wine and beer making practices.
